Samsung has sent out invitations for a health-related event, to be held on May 28 in San Francisco, Engadget reports.
The invite, sent by Samsung's semiconductor arm, doesn't give too many details, except stating that "a new conversation around health is about to begin."
With its latest array of health and fitness-oriented gadgets, including the Gear family of products as well as the Galaxy S5, which has a built-in heart rate monitor, Samsung has shown that health is an important part of its strategy.

The timing of the event is also interesting -- just one week before Apple's WWDC conference. Reports say that Apple is working on health/fitness related products -- could health be the next big battleground for the two smartphone giants?
