Hurricane Sandy left lower Manhattan in a blackout that has residents braving the dark streets and dodging what are either zombies or people without flashlights.

NYC Unplugged shows some of the city's darkest neighborhoods, lit only by the headlights and taillights of cars speeding through on their escape from the shadows.
