Fans of mutants and direwolves, rejoice -- the worlds of X-Men and Game of Thrones are crossing paths in the form of Sansa Stark.

Sophie Turner, who plays the never-lucky Sansa in HBO's hit series will be taking over the role of psychic mutant Jean Grey in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse.

Director Bryan Singer tweeted the news Thursday, also revealing the casting of Alexandra Shipp as Storm and Tye Sheridan as Cyclops.

Meet our new and brilliant young mutants: @Alexshipppp as #Storm @SophieT as #JeanGrey and @TyeSheridan as #Cyclops. #XmenApocalypse— Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) January 23, 2015

Shipp has had television roles on Days of Our Lives and the VH1 original movie Drumline: A New Beat. Sheridan is somewhat of a rising star after a critically-acclaimed performance in Mud.

As for Turner, the role of Jean Grey isn't all that far from Sansa Stark, aside from the time period, universe and the whole mutation thing. Both characters have an untapped darkness to them, both have a complicated romantic life and both have parents who send them away from home.

The three young actors will be joining a star-packed cast that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and possibly Channing Tatum. X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27, 2016.
