Modern Family star Sarah Hyland was one of the premiere presenters at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night and when she went up to announce the first award of the night with Pitch Perfect star Skylar Astin, the unthinkable happened: she tripped on her way onto the stage.
Of course, it was more like half a trip. Wearing sky-high heels isn't easy even when you're used to getting dressed up for media events like Hyland is. Even though she took a moment to blurt out a few curses after her little snafu, all in all, she handled herself pretty well.
"I do that sometimes, guys. I’m awkward, you know. I kinda got it out of the way for everyone else," she said to the audience while Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson tried to mask his laugher. We're watching you, Josh.
Hyland tweeted later about the experience, totally owning the moment and basically making her even more perfect than she ever was. After all, when you laugh at yourself, the whole world laughs with you.
