It's been nearly a year since Robin Williams died, and his loss is still keenly felt.

Williams would have turned 64 today. His The Crazy Ones co-star, Sarah Michelle Gellar, took to her Instagram account to post a lovely tribute to the man she once called "the father I always dreamed of having."

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star posted a photo of her and Williams smiling and embracing, captioning it with an apt set of lyrics: "Smile, though your heart is aching Smile, even though it's breaking Happy Birthday RW #RobinWilliams #HappyBirthdayRobin."

Williams's daughter, Zelda, announced on Instagram that she would be taking a break from social media ahead of his birthday, telling her followers, "In my absence, I understand there will be those who wish to leave messages regarding Dad on my board, but please attempt to be respectful and kind to one another in the process, both because I will not be here to delete or mediate trolling, and because kindness is in short supply these days anyhow. Thanks guys. Buh-bye now!"

Kinda hoping I fly thru that very cloud on the way home ✈️ on another note, I will be taking a break from social media in the coming weeks. It's a time better served away from the opinions or sentiments of others, and I appreciate your understanding. Just last week, musician CeeLo Green debuted the music video for his single, "Robin Williams," a song dedicated to the late actor.

"I'm afraid of not being able to laugh anymore; what's life going to become once we don't have any more heroes?" Green sings. "Life reminds me of Robin Williams — we've got to laugh the pain away."
