Smartphones are multi-purpose gadgets that organize our lives. While it's not uncommon to hear of mobile devices doubling as planners, cameras and recorders, what about scanners?
The Scandock claims to turn your smartphone into a "professional-grade scanner" that's easy to use, but still produces high-quality prints. While it's not meant to be portable, the device aims to replace conventional scanners and multi-function printers at work.
"Just put the phone in the dock and the lights turn on automatically. Open the app. Capture. Done. You get high-resolution scans with color true to the original," according to Scandock's Kickstarter page.
In comparison, taking a photo and using existing apps such as JotNot and CamScanner "creates low-quality, amateurish output," Scandock continues, providing examples, below.
