SchadenFreezers: Depressing Jokes in Orange, Grape and Cherry Flavors

Schadenfreude: The satisfaction or pleasure felt at someone else's misfortune. It's a pretty narcissistic point of view -- but it's not as bad if the misfortunes are fictional, right?

Matt Moore and Jason Kreher, from Portland-based advertising agency Wieden Kennedy, put together SchadenFreezers that's stocked full of sad, well-now-my-day's-ruined jokes. The best part? They're in the form of melting popsicle GIFs, so as the ice disappears, the sadness unveils itself. Maybe there's a metaphor in there somewhere.

"It started about a year ago. I had a bunch of horrible jokes that I thought were so funny -- like, popsicle stick-style," Kreher told Mashable. "Matt used to call them Scadenfreuders. From there, we ended up buying popsicle sticks, writing these terrible jokes on them and photographing."

Some jokes include: "Why did the lifeguard wear pants? Because he was ashamed of his body" or "How many lives does a cat have? Only one." You know, real uplifting stuff.

"The goal is to make this the single most important thing on the Internet," Kreher said with a laugh. "Just hideous, depressing popsicle stick gold."

As their slogan goes: "Savor the Sadness." You can taste the rainbow later.
