In normal scientific study there is rarely much room for embroidery.

Greek artist Chara wants to change this by curating her Etsy shop, FabulousCatPapers, to include an array of intricate embroidered notebooks inspired by science journals. From finite math principles to magnified images of the human body, Chara has found her way around a needle and thread. Her creations range from $18.00-$60.00.

"This project started making a notebook for a friend of mine without any thought that it will become my full time job," Chara told Mashable over email. "But as I was embroidering the first notebook, It really [struck] me ... that it may be interesting to embroider scientific illustrations, [images] that I love so much."

"I visualize my notebooks [being used on] the other side of the world, used to the last page and crumpled with stains, maybe with ... threads not in their original places," she said. "But full of thoughts, and notes. [It] makes me happy."
