Congrats, Ryan Murphy: Your TV shows are among the most popular kids on the TV block.

Murphy's upcoming Fox horror comedy Scream Queens and the latest installment of his American Horror Story franchise have topped Twitter's annual assessment of the most buzzed about TV shows of the upcoming fall season.

The social media site released new figures Thursday that also place NBC's Heroes Reborn, CBS's Supergirl and the recently premiered Late Show with Stephen Colbert among the most talked about newbies among its users.

Interestingly, 90% of the fall TV buzz, however, belongs to returning shows. Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries and Once Upon a Time are grabbing the lion's share of the conversation.

Here's a look at the overall standings:

Of note is the huge jump for Grey's Anatomy from last year -- No. 6 to No. 1. Guess that, ehem, departure sparked some fans' interest in the show once again. Or, at the very least, got them to talk about the show louder than ever leading into the new season.

Also laud-worthy are this year's sophomore class standouts. According to Twitter, Flash, Jane the Virgin and How to Get Away with Murder have seen major gains in chatter volume since last summer ahead of their debuts.

The Flash was the biggest gainer, with conversation up a staggering 1,378%. Insert running and/or speed pun of your choice here.

Overall, Twitter said, over 21 million Tweets have been made about fall TV premieres this summer (June 1 to Sept. 14), up 34% from last year.

So, I guess you can say we're all a little excited about it.
