Beginning today, more than 50 New York City locations will begin offering SCVNGR rewards. The startup handpicked launch venues, as listed below, where customers are most likely to go with friends and stay for extended periods.
As you may recall, local businesses participating in the rewards program are gifted with QR code business stickers, table tents, coasters, coffee-sleeves and in-store signage to promote their SCVNGR rewards. The rewards program is free of charge for local businesses.
New York joins Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco as cities where businesses can use SCVNGR to set up and define rewards for their venues. SCVNGR's continued rewards rollout comes as Facebook opens up a new free-of-charge deals platform for local businesses with Place Pages.
Mashable and SCVNGR are celebrating the launch of rewards in New York City with an event at The Red Room at Gansevoort Park Avenue.
