Our teenagers will never be free from dangers that lurk -- and slip -- through the halls of high schools.

A sea lion pup was detained on April 8 for breaking into Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach, California without registering for classes. The pup seemed to think he could float by getting an easy A in Algae-bra, but his hopes were dashed after teachers called the sheriff's office.

Though caught red-flippered, the delinquent refused to confess to trespassing.

“While deputy sheriffs attempted to interview him as to his activities, he clammed up and requested his lawyer,” the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

The authorities declined to press charges and turned him over to Animal Control.

If you see this pup at your high school, be sure to call the cops. This is a repeat offender who cannot be rehabilitated.
