Sean Greenwood of Ireland may have just earned the honor of best recovery at the Olympics.

The 26-year-old athlete was competing in the men's skeleton event Friday when he took a left turn on the course -- only to be thrown in the air, barrel roll with his sled and land on his back.

In an amazing feat of athleticism and skill, Greenwood regained control and continued down the track to finish his run and avoid disqualification.

Greenwood was traveling around 74 MPH when he flew into the air.

While his recovery was impressive, it slowed his time, leaving him with an overall time of 2:03.10 after two runs. He currently holds 27th place.

See footage of Greenwood's whole run on NBC's website.
