Someone did not follow the $20 limit to this year's Secret Santa.

Stephanie Empey, a secretary for Dora Erickson Elementary School in Idaho Falls, is the type of person who puts herself before others.

"She takes in everyone. She gives them a place when they've been without, [if] they're going to be evicted or homeless," a friend from school told East Idaho News.

According to her coworker, Empey has suffered from diabetes since fifth grade, but "she will take care of others before she takes care of diabetes."

So this year, an anonymous couple decided to give Empey a little something to help her out. Her Secret Santa gave Empey $10,000 with the help of East Idaho News.

Empey clearly was not expecting the news.

"No way!" Empey said as she broke into tears. "I really appreciate it."
