Satellites in space are keeping an eye on a huge storm bearing down on the eastern United States.

A newly released NASA video shows the storm, which is currently expected to dump 18 to 30 inches of snow on Washington, D.C., alone, moving across the country and up the coast from Jan. 20 to Jan. 22. The video was taken by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's GOES-East satellite.

At the moment, there are about 100 million people in the path of the storm as it moves along the east coast.
