Wiz Khalifa's tear-jerking "See You Again" has raced into the history books by shattering two Spotify records for most listens in one day and most listens in one week.

The song, a tribute to Paul Walker's life and his Fast and Furious career, is No. 1 on Spotify in 26 countries. With 4.2 million streams on April 13 and 21.9 million streams from April 6 to 12, "See You Again" broke Spotify's single-day and single-week records.

"See You Again" dethroned Ellie Goulding's Fifty Shades of Grey anthem "Love Me Like You Do," which had 2.9 million streams on Feb. 20, Spotify confirmed to Mashable.

Khalifa's track, featuring vocals from Charlie Puth, appears on the Furious 7 soundtrack, which on Tuesday debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The song's acceleration to the top was aided by Furious 7's release and its inclusion in the movie's final scenes involving Walker.

Walker, who played undercover agent Brian O'Conner in the Fast and Furious franchise, died in a car crash in 2013 in Santa Clarita, California.

Co-star and friend Vin Diesel also helped get the song into more ears by singing parts of it in a recent interview, and then again at the MTV Movie Awards on April 13 (watch, below).
