The shruggie is now a VIP on the Senate floor.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D.-Conn.) used the ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ on Thursday to describe how the GOP is reacting to the possibility of millions of Americans losing their Obamacare subsidies, pending a Supreme Court case challenging the Affordable Care Act.

"This is a pretty good summary of what the Republicans' plan is to respond to King v. Burwell," Murphy said as he displayed a white poster board featuring the shruggie. Burwell is the Secretary of Health and Human Services, who is responsible for carrying out the Affordable Care Act.

Fingers crossed that the smiling poop emoji will also make an appearance during a session soon.
