After breaking a couple deals with Universal and IODA, SendMe Mobile is announcing a $15 million series C round of financing, led by GrandBanks Capital, with existing investors True Ventures and Spark Capital also participating in the round. That's call for celebration. This round of funding will go towards the expansion of its three core brands, which encompasses SendMe, SoLow (see coverage of SoLow's launch here) and mBuzzy.
Each of these brands will be taking on UGC components, along with additional applications. With SendMe covering the mobile content arena, SoLow dabbling in ongoing mobile games, and mBuzzy, the mobile social network that SendMe acquired last year, the SendMe umbrella has a tightening grip on the cross-platform approach to some of the more popular mobile use-cases when it comes to social media.
