Seventeen’s Editor in Chief Ann Shoket says: “As part of our ongoing efforts to speak to girls whenever, wherever they are, we launched Snapchat for Seventeen. When we met with [Snapchat CEO] Evan Spiegel, we knew immediately this would be yet another way for us to create a personal connection with our readers in real time.”
Snapchat has enjoyed a prosperous run recently, including a fresh round of fundraising that brought in $50 million, as well as reports of acquisition offers from Google and Facebook that valued the company at $4 billion and $3 billion respectively.
