You haven't lived until you've repeatedly pushed the full weight of your body against a vending machine because it failed to dispense the vibrator you just purchased.

And now inhabitants of the City of Brotherly love will have the chance -- PinkBox, a sex toy vending machine, makes its debut tonight at the Philadelphia Burlesque Festival.

PinkBox founders Vaughn Sandman and Dean Kitagawa believe buying sex toys from vending machines makes sense, even though it sounds like an uncomfortable transaction. Because the overhead is smaller than it would be for a brick and mortar store, they can afford to offer competitive pricing usually found online without the delayed gratification.

Certified sexologist Dr. Timaree, who is acting as PinkBox's "sexpert," told Philly Mag that the machine stocks "everything from condoms and cock rings to Lelo vibrators. There are glass dildos, and starter restraint kits."

The goods will be priced between $4 and $99, payable by cash or credit card, according to Philly.com.

The website recommends purchasing a machine for your bar or night club, banking on alcohol stripping away the potential awkwardness of using the machine out in the open. PinkBox will probably not be coming to your grocery store anytime soon.

So next time you scrounge up a few quarters to buy some M&Ms or a bag of pretzels, take a second to reflect on how the technology has evolved throughout the years.

BONUS: Sex Toys. In Jell-O. In Slow-Motion.
