What if Shakespeare Wrote 'Star Wars'?

Pull up thy hover chair -- because you're about to be transported from "a galaxy far, far away" to Elizabethan England. This interpretation of the Star Wars saga is told in the language of The Bard himself: William Shakespeare.

The video features text from Ian Doescher's novel William Shakespeare's Star Wars, released on Tuesday.

The book's website describes the plot as "the saga of a wise (Jedi) knight and an evil (Sith) lord, of a beautiful princess held captive and a young hero coming of age, Star Wars abounds with all the valor and villainy of Shakespeare’s greatest plays."

Watch this awesome mashup above. We beseech you.
