The sharks dancing alongside Katy Perry for her bonkers Super Bowl halftime show were a delight to many -- but for some, they represented crushed dreams.
Only two sharks made the cut, but countless more auditioned for the coveted gig.

Look out for Perry's rejects on future seasons of So You Think You Can Dance or off-Broadway shows. Maybe some will give up on their teenage dreams entirely and go to jaw school like their parents keep begging them to.
Here's hoping this exposure will create more opportunities for shark dancers.
