After snagging the gold (and defending his 2006 title) in the Men's Half Pipe competition yesterday, White busted out the Double McTwist 1260 -- a trick that's beyond the expertise of many a boarder -- during a victory run. Videos of the trick are already hot in search, making White a legend a mere day after grabbing the gold.

Shaun told the Examiner, "I felt it was such a miracle run....I just felt like I didn't come all the way to Vancouver not to pull out the big guns."

This year's Winter Olympics has been embroiled in a lot of controversy, what with the battle between NBC's tape delayed coverage and social networking, and the tragic death of Georgian luge competitor Nodar Kumaritashvili. The rising popularity of this video stands as a bright spot in all this madness, as people around the world seek out and relive the epic moment.

I'm actually having a difficult time finding a decent video over at YouTube -- it seems at least one has been disabled by the International Olympic Committee. So you should probably head on over to NBC's website for a better viewing experience. (Hm, the battle between NBC and social networks continues.) In the meantime, here's a poor quality view of part of White's run.
