A Shiba Inu, who has had a worthwhile career working at a tobacco shop, is finally calling it quits on the 9-to-5 schedule and going into doggy retirement.

The Suzuki Tobacco Shop, known for its wildly popular assistant clerk, a Shiba dog, closed its windows on Oct. 30 after almost three years of service, according to Bored Panda. The shop's human proprietor announced the closing on Twitter:

We closed the Suzuki Tabacco store on 30 Oct. 2015. Shiba-san has retired as well. Sorry to… https://t.co/hKw5jpbeAR— アズミ (@doggy134) October 29, 2015

The stand has become somewhat of a phenomenon in Japan and on the Internet thanks to the stellar customer service. Who wouldn't appreciate such a cute salesguy?

And if you're wondering what the Shiba will be up to in post-working life, the dog will most likely be spending some extra hours chewing on his favorite toy, a cucumber (note to self: try cucumber-gnawing for a workday stress reliever).

Nice work, Shiba! You may be out of the running for "Employee of the Month," but now you are free to take up Zumba or finally finish those Dragon Tattoo books. And that is very WOW.
