There's a giant van that's been driving around San Francisco for the past three days, and it's called the Schwaggin' Wagon. It grew out of the idea that schwag can live on beyond conferences and expos, in order to do a greater good.
The Schwaggin' Wagon, which made its debut this week at Web 2.0 Expo, is going around collecting extra schwag from companies passing out free t-shirts, stickers, cup holders, wrist bands and hats in order to donate it to the InnerKids organization. While many conferences, including Web 2.0 Expo, are adding environmentally conscious efforts to the way in which they run their events, the Schwaggin' Wagon is also a green effort. It also represents the very collaborative nature of what Web 2.0 Expo is all about.
