"I was born in a thunderstorm," Sia sings, hitting the ground running on up her new single, "Alive."

The song is from her forthcoming album, This Is Acting, comprised of songs the elusive pop star initially intended for other artists. She has previously written chart-toppers for Rihanna, Beyoncé and many more.

This one was co-written with Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr. for her upcoming album, and it's easy to see Adele having an Aretha Franklin moment with this song. If tracks as solid as "Alive" didn't make the cut, it only makes the anticipation for her new album that much more painful.
