Homer and Marge aren't over on 'The Simpsons' because love conquers all

It's alright everyone, you can put down your pitchforks and torches now.

The Simpsons executive producer Al Jean sparked outrage last week with news that Homer might be splitting up with Marge. While Jean did say that the couple would "legally separate," he didn't say why or for how long.

Nevertheless, Simpsons fans felt betrayed and stormed Twitter to express their disapproval of the decision. In hopes to dispel any rumors about the TV couple, the official Simpsons Twitter account posted several pictures hinting at Homer and Marge staying together.

Homer and Marge have divorced before -- for 12 seasons, according to LA Times. They've also been together through nearly 600 episodes full of marital hurdles and have always found a way to make things work.

We don't know how long their separation will last, but we're sure they'll find a way to settle their differences in the end.
