Did Matt Groening Draw These 'Simpsons' Napkin Doodles? [UPDATED]

UPDATE: These pictures are fake. Michael Price, a current Simpsons writer asked Matt Groening if they were his. He tweeted:

@theleanover @simpsonology @thatbilloakley @tubatron Matt Groening looked at those pics just now & immediately said they're NOT his.— Michael Price (@mikepriceinla) September 4, 2012

@theleanover @simpsonology @thatbilloakley @tubatron He also said he has no memory of ever being in a Bennigan's.— Michael Price (@mikepriceinla) September 4, 2012

Original Post:

Not long after The Simpsons premiered in primetime, show creator Matt Groening apparently drew a few doodles on Bennigan’s napkins for a waitress at the restaurant.

She recently showed the now 22-year-old drawings to her son, Redditor FixerOfDeath.

Her son, who thought the Bart art was "pretty awesome," posted photos of the drawings on Reddit.

Despite their Simpsons-style look, several commenters have expressed doubt about the sketches' authenticity based on the number of fingers drawn on Bart.
