You call that a knifey spoony game? This is (literally) a knife spoony game.

Simpsons fans will remember the "Bart vs. Australia" episode from Season 6, during which Springfield's first family travels to the land down under to battle Bart's indictment for fraud.

While waiting for the trial, Bart and Lisa are challenged to a local game of "Knifey Spoony" -- a reference to Australian import Crocodile Dundee.

One superfan on Imgur, richyrichuk, decided to pay tribute to this classic episode by creating a real-life two-player game as a birthday present.

Here's how to play:

Two players choose their "knives." One knife is, in fact, a spoon.

The players present and compare knives. The player with the largest knife is the winner.

Alteration: Spoons always beat knives. If one player recognizes that the other player's knife is, in fact, a spoon, he or she may declare it so and the declarer is automatically the winner.

The Imgur user not only painstakingly crafted the game's wooden box -- carving the title, instructions and knifey/spoony insignia -- but also lined the box in sumptuous, red velour. Nice touch.

A Simpsons fan couldn't ask for a finer present.
