If you still haven't made the decision to shell out cash for the Apple Watch, just ask Siri -- she has a little advice for you.

Now when you ask Siri, "What is the best smartwatch?" you get this enthusiastic answer from the personal assistant: "I say Apple Watch, hands down."

We already knew that asking Siri for her take on the best computer elicits the answer, "If it's made by Apple, then it's the best computer"; so this new preprogrammed promotional answer isn't necessarily a departure for the company.

Still, the addition of the Apple Watch to Siri's list of canned answers is yet another sign that the company is serious about making its smartwatch a success -- even if that means tweaking users' virtual-assistant experience.

Interestingly, Siri's new suggestion doesn't only apply to "smartwatches." If you take the "smart" part out of the question and ask, "What is the best watch?" Siri delivers the same answer: the Apple Watch.

It looks like last week's comment from Swatch co-founder Elmar Mock, who said the Apple Watch could bring on an "Ice Age" for the Swiss watch industry, might not be hyperbole, after all.

Apple isn't just targeting other smartwatches. It truly wants to become the maker of the "best watch" -- tech-powered or not.
