Apple's possibly-sentient personal assistant Siri can do a lot of things, but did you know she can beatbox?

It's simple to try, provided you have an iPhone or an iPad: Just ask "Siri, can you beatbox for me?"

The trick is not exactly new; it's been around at least since Nov. 2015, as documented in the video below. Still, it hasn't been widely known until recently, when a number of media outlets picked the news up.

And if you're wondering why Siri is using the phrase "boots and cats," that's because it's often used as one of the first lessons in beatboxing. While Siri's approach to beatboxing is quite straightforward, we're sure her skills will improve over time.

Beatboxing is not the only trick up Siri's sleeve; she can also divide by zero (sort of) and throw Back to the Future references, but she won't give you any hints about upcoming iPhones.
