It seems everything is coming up New Zealand recently. First there was the local version of Netflix, Nitflux, and now Apple's Siri is fixing her vowels in attempt to sound like and understand Kiwi English.

The virtual assistant will be able to be set to "New Zealand English," allowing for the user to say "six" without it getting mistaken for a "sex" proposition.

Fairfax Media reported there are still issues with the translation, when tested with a strong New Zealand accent -- such as the word "deck" and the phrase: ""Can I get some fish and chips for six tonight?"

The new setting is part of the iOS 8.3 update, which also saw a bunch of new emojis rolled out, including different skin colours.

The update saw New Zealand, Brazil, Denmark, India, Russia, Sweeden, Thailand and Turkey brought up to speed with Siri features such as Twitter and Facebook integration, sports, local search, directions and Shazam. Although Siri has been in the land of the long white cloud for years, she was still acting like a foreigner.
