Sitcoms, being the comedies they are, are supposed to make you feel safe and loved when they finally come to a close, right?
Unfortunately, that's not always the case. While some sitcoms end on the happiest of notes, others have left us feeling totally confused and pretty dissatisfied -- we're looking at you, Roseanne.

We picked 25 of our favorite sitcoms of years past and plotted them from happiest to saddest and most satisfying to least satisfying. While Friends may come out on top as having one of the most delightful and gratifying series finales in recent memory, shows like Freaks and Geeks or Party Down never had a chance.
