WARNING: Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers ahead

Ireland's tourism industry has high hopes for The Force Awakens and Episode VIII.

The films both prominently feature Skellig Michael, a remote island off the nation's southwest coast. Fans will recognize the island as Luke Skywalker's island sanctuary, where he's apparently been in hiding, thinking about the Force for a few years.

"The fact that Skellig Michael features in all its glory brings the dramatic scenery of Co Kerry and the broader Wild Atlantic Way to an audience of potentially hundreds of millions of people," said Ireland's Tourism Minister Paschal Donohoe, in a statement to The Journal.
