Skip Stones in Real Time With Skippy the Robot

If you've been at work and fantasized about getting away from it all and just idly skipping stones at a mountain idyll, then this live-streamed robot is for you.

Skippy, as he's known, is skipping stones for your benefit at a lake somewhere in Sun Valley, Idaho. If you're willing to wait a bit, you can sign up via Facebook, Twitter or directly to virtually fling your rock and then share it. You can also watch Skippy do his thing for others, though be warned: This will make Andy Warhol's film oeuvre look like Raiders of the Lost Ark by comparison.

That said, virtual rock skipping will doubtlessly appeal to some. The effort, from ad agency Eleven, is designed to raise awareness for the summer activities available at the resort, which is primarily known for wintertime skiing.
