Fans of The Lego Movie have a new way to engage with the flick, and make everything awesome.

Skit is partnering with Warner Bros. and adding dozens of characters from The Lego Movie to its animated storytelling app, just in time for the film's DVD release Tuesday.

Skit, which launched its first storytelling app last year, enables users to create, share and remix animated videos that feature a range of characters and backdrops. They can also be customized with unique fonts, drawings and animations.

The latest update, a result of the company's partnership with Warner Bros., added dozens of Lego Movie characters and backdrops to the app's library, including Emmet, Batman, Wyldstyle, Unikitty, Cloud Cuckoo Land, Wild West and Bob’s Kabob Truck.

Robin Johnson, CEO and cofounder of Skit, said fans of The Lego Movie will be able to use Skit's platform to make up alternate plot lines and endings, or create their own stories entirely by incorporating their favorite Lego characters into videos.

"There's something in it for everyone," Johnson told Mashable. "Lego is such a brand that spans generations, the audience is not really tied to just kids -- it's storytelling. We have always felt that everyone is creative; one of our missions is to draw the creativity out in a magical way."

Skit's newest update will roll out to the iOS and Android versions of the app on Tuesday.
