Slide, the photo slide show creator, has hit the milestone of 1 million widgets added to the network every day.
With Slide's suite of offerings for social networking profile "bling," its flash widgets are the heart of its service, from guestbooks to slide shows, SkinFlix and FunPix. Slide also reports that these widgets are being viewed by more than 134 million unique visitors per month, according to comScore.
Its growth is in part due to its popularity on social networks like MySpace and Facebook, where three of its widget offerings have remained in the top 10 for Facebook applications since the launch of Facebook's platform. Although the new milestone of reaching 1 million widgets per day does not include Facebook widgets, as they are not Flash, Slide's presence on this large social network has no doubt aided in its popularity. With other networks like hi5 adding Slide for easy widget options for end users, Slide continues to become a staple in the social networking widget world.
