What's the Worst U.S. City for Smartphone Theft? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Around 113 smartphones are stolen or lost each minute in the U.S., but there's one city in which they are pilfered more than any other: Philadelphia.

According to data highlighted in an infographic by gadget-insurance company Protect Your Bubble with taken from various studies -- including Lookout's Mobile Lost & Found survey smartphone theft or loss is most likely to occur in Philly, followed by Seattle and Oakland, respectively. Rounding out the top ten are (in order of placement) are: Long Beach, Calif., Newark, N.J., Detroit, Cleveland, Baltimore, New York and Boston.

Meanwhile, the top places to lose a phone are at fast-food restaurants, drug stores, grocery stores, coffee shops and the office, respectively.

The infographic also reveals more about smartphone theft in various city. For example, phone thefts make up 40% of all robberies in New York City, and iPhones account for 70% of cell phones stolen on public transportation, such as subways and buses.
