Schools in Malaysia closed on Friday for the first time in 12 years due to air pollution. Though the schools reopened this week, the smothering haze shrouded Kuala Lumpur and other areas in pollution from the Indonesian forest fires.
Many other areas around the globe suffer from poor air quality, from Delhi, India to Christchurch, New Zealand.
