It's a continuous battle for brands to remain relevant in today's ever-changing industry. What may be considered "cool" one week, may not be the next.

Musician, actor and long-time marijuana advocate, Snoop Dogg sat down with PepsiCo's Chief Marketing Officer, Frank Cooper, and Andre Harrell, Vice Chairman of Sean Combs' Revolt TV to speak about brand longevity, relevancy and Snoop's foray into technology during CES in Las Vegas.

During the panel, Snoop stated that "once we started to dibble and dabble in the tech world, we seen that it was missing cool."

So Mashable asked the panel if they think that brands should take the plunge into the world of marijuana, now that the United States has relaxed its federal medical marijuana laws and some states have voted in favor of the legalization of marijuana.

"Definitely," said Snoop Dogg, "the brands are going to have to step in and do what they do."

Mashable also asked Cooper if he could foresee PepsiCo embracing marijuana culture.

"We do non-alcoholic beverages and snacks." The crowd then erupted in laughter.

Looks like we won't be seeing Pepsi-flavored blunts anytime soon.

Snoop Dogg also used the opportunity to announce the name of his first single, "Peaches and Cream" on his upcoming album BUSH, which is produced by Pharrell Williams.
