Snoop Dogg shared a transphobic post on his Instagram account on Wednesday, in which Caitlyn Jenner's transition is referred to as a "science project."

J.R. Smith of the Cleveland Cavaliers also shared the post, but has since deleted it.

The image's caption begins by praising singer Akon for the launch of "Akon Lighting Africa," a project that aims to supply 600 million Africans with electricity by providing education about solar power. The caption then continues, "Im [sic] really upset that this isnt [sic] major news but that science project bruce jenner is #Society"

News flash. @akon tune in to ggn for some real news. A photo posted by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) on Jun 3, 2015 at 2:15am PDT

Some users took to Twitter to criticize Snoop Dogg's comments about Jenner's transition.

"That science project." You just ruined such a great thing by trying to take power away from another. pic.twitter.com/aKZCWJU0jZ— Brea Zidon (@BreasNuts) June 3, 2015

This isn't the first time Snoop Dogg has posted transphobic content on his social accounts. In both November 2014 and January 2015, he used the derogatory term "auntcle" on Instagram to refer to people in images he posted.
