Snooth got another $1 million in angel funding, from its initial investors including Ryan Moynagh and Will Armitage, and a new group of international investors as well. Does this involvement with international investors indicate potential global growth, or a bigger push for international retail partners? This funding comes after the first round of $300,000 nearly a year ago. The funding for Snooth will be used to grow its team, an further integrate retail partners, while adding new partners as well.

[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]As a niche wine review site, Snooth launched early on this year with both retail and peer review attributes, enabling individuals to become experts in their own right, and retail partners to target sales to these fairly passionate users.

Since launching, Snooth has been layering in more social functionality, making it easier to track your wine lists, ratings, and follow the expertise of other users. Wine is unsurprisingly a popular genre for niche social networking, and while sites like Snooth could use even more social, search and recommendation features, it's clear that niche food, wine and spirits networks are still attractive to users. FoodTube is another that's recently launched as well.
