Snow is adding two things that worry real-life skiers more than a broken leg: snowboards and snowmobiles.

The beautiful, social play-minded game is no longer just a "skiing sim" as of May 24. The addition of snowboards and snowmobiles introduce a new wrinkle to the game's wide-open mountain environments, offering new ways to explore the snowy wastes.

The addition of snowboards, in particular, feed into the ski community's longstanding rivalry with those that prefer to cut their way down a mountain on a single plank of fiberglass and wood. Snow offers all of that rivalry without the hassle of some careless punk knocking you off your skis after a sloppy cut.

Snowboards also open the door to more trick-oriented play. Snow's largest mountain, Sialia, features seven snowparks on its own, all of them replete with jumps and assorted obstacles.

Snowmobiles mix things up by giving players an opportunity to ride their way uphill, or simply explore without having to be concerned with those pesky laws of gravity.

Snow is free to play, and it's currently available on Steam as an Early Access title.
