It's your time to shine, snowy owl.

A traffic cam in Montreal captured something far more interesting during a boring and wintery commute on Sunday: a snowy owl (Hedwig) ready for her 15 minutes of fame.

The interaction gained attention after Transport Minister Robert Poëti shared footage and photos on his social networks.

During an interview with CBC, Barbara Frei, the director of the McGill Bird Observatory, explained that snowy owls typically breed in the arctic circle, and migrate south to Canada during the winter to enjoy warmer temperatures.

Frei further explained that this young female was probably searching for a place to perch and hunt.
