There isn't much to fledgling review site Soapbox right now, but today they launched an interesting feature that deserves a mention. While the previous version of the service allowed you to write reviews on the site itself, the new version lets you write a review on your own blog and allow Soapbox to aggregate it. If you remember past mentions of Edgeio's classifieds system, this is basically the same thing for reviews, with a simple social network added on. The review site iNods is trying out something similar, and recently released a new version.

If you have a blog, you can add it to Soapbox and insert a special tag within the body of your posts - I won't try to post the code here, but there's basically a choice between a "thumbs up" tag and a "thumbs down" tag. Interestingly, they're not using Technorati tags, which would be a good option to have. You can also use the site to find related reviews and subscribe to RSS feeds of the most recent additions. However, this idea would be much more compelling if users could get paid for their efforts: perhaps hooking it up to an affiliate program and paying users for every sale their reviews create.
