Whenever you want to send out subscription content, you can log in at Social Cord or send a direct message to the @tipcup Twitter account. Aside from just charging for texts, you might want to charge for access to music or written works, the site suggests. Content is sent to subcribers via text or DM.

Pay Via Text: No Credit Card Required

While micropayments are often given a hard time, Social Cord does have the benefit of extreme simplicity: thanks to partnerships with the four major US carriers, the service lets your subscribers pay by entering their telephone number; they then receive a PIN number via a text message which provides access to the content. There's no credit card required: it simply gets added to your cellphone bill each month. Content providers get around 55% of the cash, while the carriers take 45%.

While there doesn't seem to be a huge market for paid content over Twitter at this point, we can't help feeling there's something to this payment system: adding charges to your bill rather than entering credit card details seems like the obvious way to go for mobile payments, provided the content provided is desirable enough.
