20 TV Shows With the Most Social Media Buzz This Week

For the third week in a row, The X Factor topped the chart as the most watched weekly broadcast, but this time it was followed by the Ryder Cup golf tournament and fellow music competition show The Voice.

The TV event with the most positive sentiment (61%) last week was the series premiere of How I Met Your Mother. Twitter and Facebook ignited when fans reacted to "the moment" when Ted and "the mother" were within a stone's throw of each other.

Even though this could be the final season of HIMYM, it's comforting to know that shows such as Grey's Anatomy, which generated 502,117 social impressions, can still capture viewer attention.

The data is courtesy of Trendrr, which measures social media activity related to specific television shows (e.g. mentions, likes, check-ins) across Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle. To see daily rankings, check out Trendrr.TV.
