YouTube Stars Cashing In: The top YouTube users, including LisaNova, Geriatric1927 and Renetto, did indeed get paid for promoting Coke's Holiday WishCast - we still don't know the amount. Meanwhile, LisaNova is being paid to create unique content for a site called The Daily Reel, it was announced on Wednesday. With that in mind, the rewards of gaming YouTube have become even greater.

Digg Payola? Digg can be huge traffic source for websites, and some of the top Diggers are (allegedly) cashing in on their influence. The 7th Digg user was banned a few days ago, although it seems no money had changed hands at that point. Now the 13th user has also been banned, and some are linking the two issues. It's well-known that some Digg users are taking cash, but we've got to be cautious when we start singling out individuals. The question is: should Digg ban certain users, or create a system that rewards dedicated use? [via Pronet]
