Wrike Launches: Launching today, this collaborative task-managing service demoed at LeWeb3 conference in Paris this week. In short, Wrike lets you assign tasks among members of a group, but a bit more usage reveals that some of the proposed features aren't yet live.
Ajax13 Launches Web-based Powerpoint: Most readers probably haven't been with Mashable long enough to remember the AJAX craze of last year - be thankful. Now Ajax13 has rolled out another application that aims to bring desktop apps to the web using this javascript technology. This time, they've served up a presentation tool called ajaxPresents, which resembles Powerpoint to a freakish extent. In truth, though, the benefit of these web-based solutions will be the social aspect (collaborating with others), rather than creating exact replicas of desktop apps. (via)
Spresent: Yet another new web-based presentation tool that's getting some buzz. Spresent is built completely in Flash, and offers the ability to embed your slideshows on other sites via a Flash widget. Not bad at all. For those too lazy to sign up, there are some sample videos over on YouTube.
