A quick update on the Socializr-Evite row that Kristen reported on in April: Evite was threatening to sue the Friendster founder Jonathan Abrams' startup Socializr over the use of a series of invite designs including the snowflake pattern below (the others could have been a closer match, but those have already gone from the site).

Now Abrams has published an amusing diatribe against IAC Chairman Barry Diller (IAC owns Evite) which includes the choice phrase "Evite owns the copyright on snowflakes?". It's also pretty clear that there's been bad blood between the pair for some time. Maybe the feud will even help Socializr to stay in the news, since it appears to be coasting on its founders fame in a sea of similar startups.
