1 in 10 Women Loves Her Pet More Than Her Partner

A study released this week found that one in 10 women feels more strongly about her pet than her significant other. So if you thought you only had to be on the lookout for other guys, you now have Rover to compete with, too.

The Brooke, an international animal welfare organization that conducted the study, also found that more than half of the women polled turn to their pets for emotional support right after an argument with their partners.

YouTube extraordinaire Lamarr Wilson breaks down this study above, in his new Mashable show Socially Awkward. You can catch new episodes every Thursday, so do us a personal favor and subscribe to his channel -- there's a lot more awkward fun in store.
